Tuong is on Her Way Home!
Thank you for all your prayers. Her fever broke yesterday….and she perked up. It really was a miracle! Tuong had a full day yesterday of a unexpected doctor visit to see what was going on, last shopping trip to Target, going to eat at the Cow (Chick-filet) and even learning to ride a bike for the first time! I have added some more photos on the website. There are some sweet ones.
She is returning a new child- one full of hope for a bright future where she can really enjoy life to the fullest….and loving hamburgers! She has touched so many lives here. It is amazing how the Lord can use a little 7-year old girl to show us so much of Him.
I do have a few prayer requests for you to take to the Lord if she comes to your mind.
1. The Lord’s favor as they travel.
2. That she would not pick up any sickness on these long flights.
3. That her escort would have wisdom as she trains the staff how to take care of her and that the HOL staff would understand what needs to be done to care for her.
4. That Tuong’s transition would be smooth with her health. She is heading into a time of year that typically makes her sick…the rainy season.
5. Tuong faces several changes as she goes back. Her mom as married a man because she needs someone to take care of her while she is sick. Her brother has left the HOL that is around the corner from where Tuong will be living. She will not get to see either of them very often anymore. This will be hard. And we have added 2 more children to her home. She is no longer the baby of the family.
6. She will repeat the second grade; so will not be with the same friends as before. She has also forgotten some of her language!
Quick update from Chicago:
She just finished a huge Angus Hamburger at McDonalds and is doing well. No fever and very spunky!
Thank you all for journeying with us. And praise to our God who opened every door to make this possible. What a journey of faith this has been for many of us! I am overwhelmed at all He has done.

The journey began with:
“For I know the plans I have for you, say the Lord. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future, and a hope.”
Jeremiah 29:11
Today:

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promises. Heb. 10:23
